Leading Search Engines (SEs) are primarily match-makers: they strive to pair up a searcher with a website that is most likely to meet that searcher's needs. In other words, SEs first try to extract the meaning (searcher's intent) from the search phrase entered by the user, and then attempt to match it to a pre-indexed corpus of documents (usually list of webpages) that may have matching "business owner intent"--as expressed by the content published by a business owner.
